For the 120-villa Maldives Island resort project, Damac appoints Aima

Aima Construction Company Pvt Ltd has been given the major works construction contract for 120 villas at the recently announced Mandarin Oriental Bolidhuffaru Reef resort in the Maldives by Damac Group, through its real estate development arm Damac Properties.

The Dh544 million contract was given by Damac to start building a collection of resort lodgings that would span three private islands in one of the most prestigious tropical luxury locations in the world.

Mohammed Tahaineh, General Manager of Projects at Damac Properties stated: “We are fully confident in the capabilities of Aima Construction, whose track record and enthusiasm for the project exceeded all our expectations during an extensive and highly competitive candidate vetting process. Damac Properties looks forward to seeing such a high-profile development project, the first of its kind for our group, come to fruition across the beautiful Maldives”.

The 34-hectare luxury resort will be situated in South Male Atoll’s Bolidhuffaru Reef and is expected to open in 2025. The 30-minute yacht sail from Male’s Velana international airport or other means of water travel will get you to this tropical area. The new resort will provide its visitors with a wealth of recreational activities, water sports, gourmet experiences, wellness retreats, and more. It is distinguished by its white sand beaches and colorful coral reefs.

120 standalone villas, 64 of which are overwater and 56 of which are beachfront, will be delivered by Aima Construction. These homes, some of the biggest on the market, will also have private pools and lovely ocean views.

Eight dining options are available to resort visitors, including three specialized restaurants and a private location with a pool bar. Also, attendees will have access to both indoor and outdoor events for a variety of purposes.

The resort’s tropical gardens house immersive wellness facilities, among other amenities. The seasoned wellness staff at Mandarin Oriental will provide their renowned services in 12 treatment suites, vitality pools, hammams, saunas, steam rooms, and a beauty salon.
